  • Le Corbusier Chaise Lounge Chair LC4

    Corbusier is quoted to have said, “Chairs are architecture, sofas are bourgeois.”   I could not agree more.  After all look at the the chaise lounge he is famous for.

    Attractive and comfortable, the chaise lounge conforms to the shape of your body.  It takes up very little space at 19Wx63Dx32H considering it is a lounge chair.  With a chrome steel tubular cradle that sits on a black steel base this design allows for just the right adjustment and with very little effort to go from upright to full recline.

  • -The chair is designed according to human body structure to insure a comfortable relaxing;
    -As a "relaxing machine," it is a lounge that mirrors the body's natural curves while appearing to float above its supports.
    -Italian leather cushion with fabric or leather upholstered.
    -Color is available in red, white and black. Other colors will require quantity.

    Designer :  Le Corbusier
    Le Corbusier, born Charles-Edouard Jeanneret-Gris in 1887 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, studied painting and architecture at the local école d’Art.
    In 1907, he worked for Josef Hofmann in Vienna, where he also made the acquaintance of Adolf Loos. Another important influence came when he was working in Paris in 1909 for over a year in the practice of Auguste Perret, a pioneering exponent of building with reinforced concrete using steel. During this period, he also visited the architect and urban planner Tony Garnier in Lyon. It was not long before Le Corbusier was focusing on modern reinforced concrete architecture.
